Meriwether National Golf Club Short Course

General Course DescriptionMeriwether National golf

A short 9-hole executive course within the public golf complex that is Meriwether National Golf Club. [There is a separate post for the championship course.] Located in the farmland of the Tualatin Valley to the southwest of Hillsboro (about 20 miles to the west of Portland), it is a scenic, rural course (no houses on the course) that is open and attractive. There are three par 4s and six par 3s with yardage ranging from 119 to 322. Water, traps, and trees are the main obstacles. A well-maintained executive course. A nice, easy walk.

Why It Is There

Part of the Meriwether Golf Club complex.

I Wish I Would Have Known Before I Played

All the greens run back to front, so stay below the hole.

Did You Know

The course opened the same year that almost all of the club facilities were flooded.

Good For Them

With such a good overall golf complex, there is lots of teaching here. It is the home of a women’s golf school and holds multiple golf clinics for women of all levels during the summer. Holds 3-day junior camps throughout the summer.

Why Play This Course

Attractive and well maintained, one of the best executive courses in the north Willamette Valley. Nice place to bring the family and work on your game.
