General Course Description

Smith Rock golf

Smith Rock Golf Course is a very short public par 3 course in Northeast Redmond. Set in the high desert, Smith Rock Golf Course has a little hazard on each hole (bunkers, trees, or water).  No hole exceeds 105 yards (but can play longer when the wind is up). Nice place for a stroll or to practice or learn.

Course History

Opened in 1998 as Missing Link Family Golf Center. Was then sold (or repossessed) several times. In 2012, it was purchased by Steven Hall and Walt Zelinsky. The course appears to have closed in 2020.

Why It Is There

James and Linda Wilson operated a golf shop in the area and purchased the property to build a golf practice center, including a 3-par.

Did You Know

A scene from an episode (Season 17, Episode 7) of Who Is The Mole?, Denmark’s favorite TV show, was filmed here.

Why Play This Course

Very inexpensive and laid back. With the hazards, more than just a string of short holes. A good place to practice and learn.
