General Course Description
Lewis & Clark Golf Course is a 9-hole public course adjacent to an RV park in Astoria. Built on an old dairy farm, Lewis and Clark Golf Course has recently converted to all grass greens (that are close cropped fairway grass). Although the holes generally have wide fairways, the course has many a hazard mostly in the form of water (that comes into play on 7 holes) and trees. The fairways are of mixed grass and not maintained in the winter (the course is playable; just put the greens fees in the box, as the pro shop will be closed). The course is flat and an easy walk.
Course History
Opened in 2005 as Lewis and Clark at The Crossing.
Why It Is There

Henry Richard Lee wanted to build an amenity for the RV park he was developing.
I Wish I Would Have Known Before I Played
Study the scorecard before you play, as that will give you information on the location of hazards.
Good For Them
Because of the amount of naturally occurring water, they do not irrigate (they will spot water the tees in very dry times) and do not use chemicals.
Why Play This Course
Even though there are hazards all over, the generally wide fairways allow players of differing skill levels to play at a very reasonable price.
