General Course Description"Caldera

Caldera Links is a private, 9-hole, par 3 course next to Crosswater that you can play if you are a guest at Sunriver Resort (or play with a member). Caldera Links is a good course (for its distance and design) to learn about golf or to challenge your short game (longest hole is 145 yards). There is water, traps, and multi-tiered greens. Fairways are well maintained and the greens consistent. Walk this course.

Course History

Completed in 2007 as part of the Sunriver Resort.

Why It Is There

Built as part of an amenity for the Caldera Springs development.

I Wish I Would Have Known Before I Played

Off of the 6th green starts an “Owner’s Only” 3-hole addition (with a par 5, par 3, and par 4). You may only take this loop with membership (or special permission).

Did You Know

The pins are short to make the holes appear longer (although they are easier for kids to handle). The pile of logs seen from the second hole are the remains of the cabin owned by the Harper family who lived on the property before the 1900s.

Good For Them

The course works with Crosswater to create a more expansive wildlife corridor.

Why Play This Course"Caldera

If you have someone who is learning the game, or if you want to get your nerve back after getting thrashed on Crosswater, this is a nice place to go.
