General Course Description"Kohl

Kohl Creek Golf Course is a 9-hole public course southeast of Portland,. The new barn-shaped clubhouse introduces you to the feel of the course –a rural course with a nice family feel. Kohl Creek is a pretty open course. Although short overall, Kohl Creek has some long holes (a 215-yard par 3 and a 401-yard par 4). Maintained well, but some of the fairways and the greens can be a bit patchy. Kohl Creek Golf Course has a very peaceful and laid-back atmosphere and has a great staff. In the off season, the clubhouse maybe closed and you use the honor box. Flat and short with many trees, it is a nice walk.

Course History

Opened in 1996 as Sandelie West Nine, a 9-hole public course. For a few years, it was combined with some of the holes of the former neighboring golf course (the no-longer-existing Sandelie) as part of an 18-hole option. The course changed its name and converted to a 6-hole format (to promote a faster play) in 2019. In 2020, the course returned to its present 9-hole layout.

Why It Is There
